Biography: 

Dr. Hier is an academic head and neck surgeon with a very strong interest in medical student and resident education as well as being an active participant in multiple facets of clinical research. He was involved in pioneering work on salivary gland transfer surgery to prevent xerostomia in association with radiation to the head and neck. Dr. Hier performs endoscopic laser laryngeal surgery at the Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital and ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ. He completed a term as head and neck Oncology Co-Chair for the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and has recently completed a term as a committee member for the education committee of the American Head and Neck Society. He remains actively involved at the national level.
