Ratna Ghosh to receive CIES Honorary Fellows Award
Dr. Ratna Ghosh, of our Department of Integrated Studies in Education, will be named an Honorary Fellow of The Comparative and International Education Society (CIES). The decision was announced at the 2018 Annual Meeting of CIES, held this week in Mexico City.聽The award will be conferred at next year鈥檚 conference.聽

Artist-in-Residence invites students, faculty to Wednesday workshops
Maria Ezcurra, Artist-in-Residence with the Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE), invites faculty and students to weekly art workshops each Wednesday.
Faculty and students are invited to the library space on the 1st floor, between 10 am and 3 pm, to develop art projects. Art materials will be provided. Participants are encouraged to donate a piece of unused clothing for a series of textile portraits.

In Memoriam: Agus Nuryatno (1970-2014)
The Faculty of Education mourns the loss of Agus Nuryatno, alumnus of our Department of Integrated Studies, who passed away suddenly on December 16 of 2014. Agus Nuryatno, who is survived by his wife Ani Dama Swari and children Fariz, Angga and Putri, was teaching and researching in Japan, as a Visiting Scholar, at the time of his tragic passing.

Am茅lie鈥檚 research explores the ways in which high school students鈥 reading practices evolve through an investigation of arts-related meaning making strategies.
