Welcome to the ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting (GCPA) Program

Chartered Professional Accountants play leadership roles in public practice, business, industry, government and education. We hope you will find our program both challenging and rewarding.


Accepting Your Offer of Admission

Students admitted to the GCPA Program are required to submit a Registration Deposit Fee of $300 CAN (Visa or Master Card) when confirming acceptance on the ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ Application Management system (Summer admission). This fee is applied towards tuition fees, and is non-refundable.

Deadline for confirming your acceptance and Registration Fee Deposit is March 1, 2024 or the date stated on your conditional letter of acceptance.

Any applicant who fails to confirm on the ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ Application Management system (Summer admission) by the date specified in the acceptance letter will forfeit their space in the program, and will be required to re-apply.

Steps

  • Accept your offer of admission in your account on-line using the ƽÌØÎå²»ÖРApplication Management system (Summer admission), and pay the confirmation deposit where applicable.
  • You must make arrangements to have your final, official transcript sent from the institution(s) you attended.Ìý

    ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ accepts electronic final official transcripts and proof of graduation sent through a recognized digital credential service provider or directly from the issuing institution(s).

    Recognized digital credential service providers include (but are not limited to):
    • Parchment
    • Credentials Solutions
    • Bureau du cooperation interuniversitaire (BCI)
    • National Student Clearinghouse
    • Digitary
    • My eQuals
    • eScrip-safe

    If it is not possible for documents to be sent via one of the service providers listed above, ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ will accept final official transcripts and proof of graduation sent directly from the issuing institution to officialschooldocs [at] mcgill.ca. Documents that are not required or that are determined to be unofficial will not be accepted.

    Transcripts in languages other than English or French must be accompanied by an English or French translation prepared by the school. If your school cannot provide a translation, you must send a translation from a certified translator.

    You may be required to upload course descriptions for math and science courses via Minerva.
  • Make sure that you read carefully your offer of admission letter and familiarize yourself with any outstanding conditions. Please take the necessary steps to address all outstanding conditions as early as possible.
    • Submit legal documents that could affect your tuition status.
    • ±«²õ±ðÌýMINERVA to update your address, telephone number, and personal information.
    • Review the steps to a successful registration, and then use MINERVA to register.
    • Create your personal ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ email account if you do not already have one.

Dates for the Summer 2024 Term

The summer 2024 semester will start at the beginning of May with a mandatory Orientation session; the last day of classes will be before the end of July. The class schedule may vary from week to week depending on the activities of the week. There may be classes during the day from Monday to Friday and occasionally in the evenings Monday to Thursday. A detailed calendar for the summer will be available at Orientation in May.ÌýDue to the intensive nature of the program students do not normally have time to work during the first summer.
