Anouk B茅langer and Julie Auger appointed axis directors at CIRM
The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Montr茅al (CIRM) is pleased to announce the appointment of two new directors for its research-action axes.
First, our associate member聽Anouk B茅langer聽becomes director of the 鈥淒igital culture, art, literature, and performance鈥 axis. As associate professor in the聽Department of Social and Public Communication at Universit茅 du Qu茅bec 脿 Montr茅al, her research interests include popular cultures, cultural studies, media sociology, and social transformations. This axis was previously led by Will Straw (Communication Studies, 平特五不中).
Second, Julie Auger聽joins CIRM as associate member and co-director of the 鈥淟anguage, belonging, and plurilingualism鈥 axis. As full professor in the Department of Linguistics and Translation at Universit茅 de Montr茅al, her research interests include sociolinguistics, language variation and change, endangered languages, Picard, Qu茅bec French, morphosyntax, and phonology. This axis was previously led by Wim Remysen (Letters and Communications, Universit茅 de Sherbrooke).
