Linear regression is one of the most widely used statistical tools to study dependence between variables. It can be used to answer questions such as: Does class size have an impact on success of students? Are age and cholesterol related to each other? In this workshop, you will learn how to measure the strength of such relationships and summarize observed data as simply and usefully as possible with the help of linear regression and analysis of variance.听

At the end of this workshop, you will be able to
听听听听 > Apply the least-squares method to fit a regression line to observed data
听听听听 > Perform diagnostics to check if the model works well for the data at hand
听听听听 > Predict individual outcomes given covariate values and compute prediction intervals
听听听听 > Produce and interpret an ANalysis-Of-VAriance (ANOVA) table

Pre-requisites? Basic familiarity with the software R

Date: Monday January 24, 2022
Time: 10:30AM to 12:30PM听听听听 *Note the time is different from our regular Monday sessions
