Hereditary Gastrointestinal Cancer Clinic

The Hereditary Gastrointestinal Cancer Clinic is a joint clinic run by Dr. Galiatsatos (Gastroenterology) and Dr. Foulkes (Medical Genetics). It was set up to streamline and coordinate the care of individuals with hereditary gastrointestinal cancer syndromes. These syndromes can predispose to a range of cancers and may therefore require complex and intensive surveillance protocols. This can be arranged through the clinic. Genetic advice is available in the clinic and genetic testing can be offered to other family members.

N.B.

Individuals with a suggestive family history or suspected genetic predisposition for gastrointestinal cancer are initially seen in our regular cancer genetics clinic. Please see referral guidelines at聽Cancer Genetics聽for more details.
