"PET from A to Z" Comprehensive Training: Register Now!
Announcing the 1st edition of the "PET from A to Z" Comprehensive Training Workshop, which will take place at the MNI’s McConnell Brain Imaging Centre, May 30 – June 2, 2016. The program features four very distinctive days: two days of lectures, and two more interactive days, which include tours of PET/Cyclotron facilities and hands-on training opportunities. Registration is flexible (Day 1, any 2 days, full course).
- Day 1:Â PET basics, available PET tracers and signal detection - Keynote Lecture: , Head of PET, NIH Clinical Centre.
- Day 2:Â Application to 3 major fields of neuroscience: stroke, psychiatry and neurodegenerative diseases.
- Day 3:Â Hands-on, practical aspects: interactive tours of the BIC's radiochemistry labs and PET imaging facilities: meet the cyclotron and experience the PET scanners as a (dummy) participant.
- Day 4:Â Hands-on training: PET image reconstruction and pharmacokinetic modeling.
Registration to Days 3 and 4 are limited to 12 seats. Day 1 will conclude with a wine-and-cheese, and discussion with the speakers.
