2) Attend events for newly admitted students!
- Join us on campus or at a virtual event to learn all about the experience of being a B.A. & Sc. student at 平特五不中.听 Speak with current students and academic advisors and start building your 平特五不中 community!

3) Calculate your Advanced Standing and Transfer Credits
- The courses you do in your first year will depend on what studies you completed before you arrived at 平特五不中. Be sure to review our page carefully and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch!

4) Plan your first-year course selection (in preparation for registration)
- Read carefully through "Choosing your courses"听and our U0 and U1 pages听or to learn about your Freshman/Foundation Program requirements,听degree requirements and everything you need to plan your course selection for the coming year (this includes the Fall and Winter terms).

5) Attend the Pre-Registration (virtual) orientation events听offered in early June

6) Find out when registration opens for you
- Consult "When to register" for the calendar of dates. Note that registration will open for both Fall and Winter at the same time!

7) Register for your courses (on Minerva)

Consult our "Registration Tips" for guidance on how to register using Minerva, where to get help and how to handle common registration issues.
Make sure you register for at least one course by the registration deadline听(August 14, 2024)听to avoid a late fee!

8) Verify your registration on Minerva
- Once you have registered for your Fall and Winter courses, login to Minerva and consult your Unofficial Transcript (Minerva > Student Menu > Student Records Menu > View Your Unofficial Transcript) to ensure there are no errors.

9) Connect with your academic advisors
- Though the B.A. & Sc. is offered jointly by the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Arts, degree advising is provided by the dedicated B.A. & Sc. degree advisor (tania.raggo [at] mcgill.ca (Tania Raggo)) in the Science Office for Undergraduate Student Advising (SOUSA).听 This is a good time to meet with Tania, ask questions and make sure you are properly registered.听 You may also wish to speak with Program advisors at this time (consult the SOUSA website to understand the difference between Degree advisors and Program advisors).

- You must register for at least one course by August 14th to avoid paying a late registration fee.听

12) August 28, 2024听- First day of classes for the Fall term!

13) September 10, 2024 - Add/Drop deadline for Fall 2024
- You can continue to make changes to your course registration (without penalty) until this date.听 Review your course syllabi before the end of the add/drop period to help plan your semester and determine what is expected of you in each course. If you notice that two of your midterms are scheduled at the same time, speak to your professors right away to make necessary arrangements 鈥� do not wait until the last minute to resolve exam conflicts!
