Introduction
The 平特五不中 Welcome Chair was first held by the anaesthetist Gordon Robson and then the neurophysiologist Kresimir Krnjevic. Both gained respect for their work throughout the biomedical world, dispelling any doubts about the value of basic research in the advancement of anaesthesia at 平特五不中 This work continued with the appointments of both Dr. Catherine Bushnell and Dr. Terence Coderre as the second and third聽Harold Griffith Chairs in Anesthesia Research, respectively. Recently, anesthesia professor Dr. Luda Diatchenko was hired under the prestigious Canada Excellence Research Chairs program, which supported the hiring of additional new anesthesia faculty, including Drs. Arkady Khoutorsky, Marc O. Martel, Mathieu Roy and Etienne Vachon-Presseau.
