Lori Morimoto: "'It was...intimate': Hannibal and the gendered politics of identification in quality TV"

Lori Morimoto is an independent researcher of transcultural fan cultures and transnational media marketing. She has published on transcultural fandom and Japanese women鈥檚 fandom of overseas stars in the East Asian Journal of Popular Culture, Transformative Works and Cultures and Participations, and she has contributed work on transnational Japanese cinema to Scope and Asian Cinema. Lori鈥檚 recently published book chapters include a co-authored contribution to Fandom: Identities and Communities in a Mediated World, Second Edition (2017), and chapters in The Routledge Companion to Media Fandom (2018) and A Companion to Media Fandom and Fan Studies (2018). She has also published a videographic essay on the television show Hannibal in [in]Transition.
