Ahmed is currently the co-editor in chief ofÌý, he is also serving as an editor forÌý.Ìý He is a member of scientific editorial board of theÌýÌýÌý²¹²Ô»åÌý. He served on the board of directors for the regional public transport authority in Montreal from 2017 to 2024. He served on several committees at theÌýÌýin the past including the Committee on Public Transportation Planning and Development, AP025 (2011 - 2014; 2014 - 2017; & 2017 - 2020) and Public Transportation Marketing and Fare Policy, AP030 (2012 – 2015, 2015 - 2018, & 2018 - 2021). He also served as the elected chair and board member of theÌýÌý(2018 – 2021).
