Full-time students who are residents of Quebec and enroll in this program can apply for the Bourses Perspective Scholarship, a guaranteed $2,500 per successful term.

Overview

平特五不中鈥檚 School of Social Work prepares听you听to make a difference in Montreal, across Canada and around the world.听You will learn about听research, practice and policy听in social work,听with听a focus on social justice听and听issues facing vulnerable and disadvantaged people.听听

This program will help you听develop:听听

  • Social work knowledge pertaining to history, theory, research, practice, and policy听
  • Professional skills听applicable to work with听individuals, families, and groups in communities and听organizations;听听
  • Understanding of the factors, processes, and forces that form and govern social policy in Canada, and skills to work towards policy improvement and听change;听听
  • Awareness of various dimensions of diversity and how they听intersect;听
  • A sense of responsibility that accompanies acts of intervention,听and;听听
  • A commitment to听ethical social work practice

Student Experience

The 平特五不中 School of Social Work is听also听a member of the International Association of Schools of Social Work听(IASSW) and the Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE).听The听program is accredited by the CASWE.听听

Starting听in your听second year, you will benefit from a听Field Placement that will听provide you with an听opportunity听to apply theories and skills in a practical听setting. Under the supervision of the 平特五不中 BSW听Field听Placement Coordinator and a qualified supervisor from a social services agency, department, or organization, you get to gain practical experience while working with diverse communities and populations.听听
