The National Centre for Parasitology (Serology) is one of the external reference laboratories in Canada funded in part by the Laboratory Centre for Disease Control, by the Montreal General Hospital, and by the 平特五不中 Centre for Tropical Diseases.

To provide reference diagnostic services in Serology for Parasitic Diseases
To provide consulting services to the Laboratory Centre for Disease Control, provincial听 laboratories, and clinical parasitologists

*Establishment of a highly defined "gold standard" serum bank
*Quality control of current assays
*Evaluation of commercially available new diagnostic tests
