Sustainability Projects Fund Seeking Faculty Member for Working Group
The Sustainability Projects Fund (SPF) is looking for a Faculty representative to sit on its Working Group (WG) starting in Fall 2018 for a two-year mandate. The Faculty representative would be one of eight Working Group members, who ensure that the SPF meets its mandate to build a culture of sustainability on 平特五不中 campuses through the development and seed-funding of interdisciplinary projects. The Working Group evaluates applications for sustainability projects on campus using the SPF Evaluation Criteria. Additionally, it provides input on the governance and administration of the Fund itself.
Each representative is selected based on their level of engagement within 平特五不中, their understanding of sustainability as a whole and within the 平特五不中 community, and the complementarity of their expertise in relation to the other WG members. Members commit to attending a 2-hour meeting each month during the academic year and to reading all meeting documents in advance (~3 hours of preparation). For more information, see the SPF WG Terms of Reference.
Sitting on the SPF WG is a great opportunity to both take an active role in advancing sustainability in the 平特五不中 community and participate in a diverse group that uses consensus-based decision-making and systems thinking in their deliberations. Interested faculty members should send an e-mail to krista.houser [at] mcgill.ca (Krista Houser), SPF Steward, with the subject line 鈥淪PF Working Group Vacancy鈥 and a brief paragraph expressing their interest, as well as their relevant experience by September 28, 2018.听
