Dr. Chaytor graduated from Memorial University Medical School in 1986. She completed a Mixed Internship at the Montreal General Hospital in 1987 and an orthopaedic residency at Dalhousie University in 1992.
She then completed a 5 month clinical fellowship in Trauma and reconstruction at Dalhousie University, a 1 year fellowship in Foot and ankle surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a 3 month fellowship in Orthotics and Prosthetics at the University of Montreal.
She has been an attending orthopaedic surgeon at the Jewish General Hospital since 1997. She is the Fellowship Director for the Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Teaching Unit and Fellowship. She is an Associate Professor of Surgery at 平特五不中 and Chair of the Orthopaedic Competency Committee.
She is currently the Chief of Surgical Services at the Jewish General Hospital.
She has won many awards including the Kathryn Rolph Award in 2000 in recognition of her contribution to the advancement of women in the department of surgery; The Harvey H. Sigman Award in 2014 in recognition of excellence in undergraduate teaching; and the Robert Turcotte Award in 2018 for Altruistic Physician Care.
