Histoire et litt茅rature de la musique : A cross-cultural exploration of women's musical achievements in various historical periods. Develops understanding of both music and the social, political, and cultural forces shaping it. Music includes: sacred, love songs, opera, contemporary instrumental composition, and improvised genres with study organized around topics like authorship, genius/virtuosity, voice, body, power and technology.
