Nursing : Consolidation and application of advanced nursing and medical knowledge to neonatal practice.

No credit will be given for this course unless both NUR2 650D1 and NUR2 650D2 are successfully completed in consecutive terms.

Restriction: Open only to students in the Graduate Diploma in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.

NUR2 661 Reasoning in Neonatology 2 (4 credits)
Overview
Nursing : Advanced nursing management of illnesses of the newborn. Pathophysiology, decision making, and interventions for advanced nursing practice. Some topics include genetic evaluation, as well as cardiovascular, renal and neurological problems.

NUR2 666 Neonatal Follow-Up Internship (4 credits)
Overview
Nursing : This internship is designed to focus on the advanced assessment skills required to provide primary care to high-risk infants and their families within the context of our current health care system.
