Program Requirements

The core element of the diploma is the Practicum in Clinical Research. It is a six-step program with active 鈥渃lerkship鈥 or 鈥渋ntern/resident type鈥 participation in each component that is essential to the successful development and evaluation of a clinical trial.

Required Courses (6 credits)

Complementary Courses (6 credits)

Two courses chosen from: Experimental Medicine (EXMD), Pharmacology and Therapeutics (PHAR), Epidemiology and Biostatistics (EPIB). With approval, courses from other Allied Health Sciences departments may be considered.

    Overview

    Experimental Medicine : Six-step program: 1. Identification of the problem; 2. Experimental design; 3. Protocol development; 4. Execution of the protocol; 5. Data analysis; 6. Generation of final report with active "clerkship" participation in each component with team leaders and experts designated for each stage.
