Overview
CESL : With materials from across the curriculum the course prepares students to meet the expectations of the university classroom: note-taking and summary of lectures; paraphrase and summary of written and multimedia materials; oral and seminar presentations. Development of critical thinking, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills and strategies. Au moyen de documents tir茅s de divers programmes offerts 脿 平特五不中, ce cours pr茅pare les 茅tudiants aux exigences des cours universitaires: prendre des notes, faire des expos茅s oraux, r茅sumer (cours magistraux, documents oraux, 茅crits et multim茅dias). D茅veloppement du raisonnement critique, lectures, 茅coutes, r茅dactions, habilet茅s et strat茅gies de communication.

Restriction: Open only to students whose first language is not English and who are newly admitted at 平特五不中 (into Year 0 or Year 1) to a Bachelor program in the following fall. The course is designed to assist these new students to integrate into the English language milieu at 平特五不中. Classroom instruction, and language laboratory required: 5 hours per week (approximately) outside class time.
Restriction: Ce cours s'adresse aux 茅tudiants dont la langue maternelle n'est pas l'anglais et qui sont nouvellement admis (en premi猫re ann茅e pr茅paratoire - niveau U0 ou premi猫re ann茅e d'茅tudes universitaires - niveau U1) 脿 平特五不中 脿 un programme de 1er cycle 脿 l'automne suivant. Il est con莽u pour faciliter leur int茅gration dans le milieu anglophone de 平特五不中. Cours r茅guliers, et laboratoire de langue obligatoire; 5 heures par semaine en dehors des heures de cours.
