Program Requirements

Prerequisite for admission into Honours Hispanic Studies: a first-year Spanish course with a final grade of B+. Honours students are expected to maintain a program GPA of 3.30 and, according to Faculty regulations, a minimum CGPA of 3.00 in general. Students must take an 18-credit Minor concentration in another area.

    Hispanic Studies (Arts) : A study of the primary literary and intellectual developments stemming from Spain's discovery of the Americas. Special attention will be given to the changing perception of the New World's natural resources and indigenous peoples as this is reflected in the literature of the period.
