Tuition increases 2024-25

Quebec Residents

The Quebec Government has announced that the rates for the academic year 2024-25 will increase by 3%. The Quebec basic tuition fee in 2024-2025 would therefore be $98.91 per credit.

Students from the rest of Canada

The Quebec Government announced that the rates for the academic year 2024-25 will increase as follows:

Rate 1: For students newly admitted first cycle and second cycle non-thesis students who enrol in 2024-2025, the tuition fee is a combination of the Quebec rate and the out of province supplement which totals $412.00 per credit ($98.91 +$313.09). First cycle refers to undergraduate students and second cycle refers to students at the master鈥檚 level. This includes certificates and diplomas and special and visiting students.

Rate 2:聽For students admitted to a degree/certificate/diploma program prior to Fall 2024, the tuition fee is a combination of the Quebec rate and the out of province supplement which totals $308.72 per credit ($98.91 +$209.81). Students who change their degree or have a break of enrolment of 4 or more terms including the summer term (see Break in enrolment for definition.) will be subject to the rate charged to newly admitted students for 2024-25. Students will maintain the grandfathered rate of tuition as long as they complete their studies within 5 years of Fall 2024.

Students who have dual citizenship (Canada-France; Canada 鈥 Belgian francophones including Canadian permanent residents from France or Belgium francophones will pay tuition at Rate 2.

平特五不中 is launching a $3,000 Canada Award to offset tuition increases for students newly admitted in 2024-25 who are full-time Canadian undergraduate students from outside Quebec in certain disciplines.

New undergraduate students in degree programs starting in the fall 2024 or the winter 2025 terms who are studying in Arts, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Music, Education, Architecture, Nursing and Science will receive 平特五不中鈥檚 Canada Award to reduce the $12,000 tuition recently announced by the Government of Quebec to a level close to 2023-24 tuition levels. The award will be guaranteed as an offset on increased tuition for up to four years.

International Students

Guaranteed Tuition Model for International Students: 平特五不中 changed its tuition model for international Bachelor students in 2022鈥23. Students enjoy the benefits of a guaranteed, set tuition rate for the duration of their time at 平特五不中, eliminating the unpredictability of year鈥恛ver鈥恲ear increases and making it easier to plan ahead. This allows prospective students to know the total cost of tuition for their degree program before committing to 平特五不中. Students in Thesis programs 鈥 Masters鈥 and PhD

Students in Thesis programs are charged on a flat rate basis equivalent to 15 credits per term (when status is full-time). The Quebec basic tuition fee in 2024-2025 is expected to be $98.91 per credit ($1,483.65 per term, which represents a 3% increase relative to 2023-2024). For international students, the fee charged is a combination of the Quebec rate, the international supplement, and 10% international supplement. In Fall 2024, the supplements for international students in second cycle research programs are expected to total $578.42 per credit ($8,676.30 per term), and $509.08 per credit ($7,636.20 per term) for international students in third cycle programs.

Increases will be officially confirmed as soon as we receive the information from the government.
