Project Title:聽Policy and Local Engagement: Mining in Arctic聽Canada
Project Description:
My doctoral research focuses on the ways in聽which resource extraction policies intersect with northern Inuit聽interests and priorities, comparing the different understandings聽of and approaches to mining. Specifically, it examines how policy聽created in Ottawa is incorporated or resisted by Inuit when聽conceptualizing land use and identity.
