Nico Trocm茅, MSW, PhD, TS, FRSC, is the Philip Fisher Chair in Social Work at 平特五不中. His research includes the 25-year series of Canadian Incidence Studies of Reported Child Abuse and Neglect (CIS), a Federal-Provincial-Territorial initiative to develop a common set of National Outcomes Measures in child welfare(NOM), the Canadian Child Welfare Research Portal (), and a research capacity development and knowledge mobilization initiative involving child welfare and First Nations service providers in Quebec. Professor Trocm茅 is the author of over 250 scientific publications, has been awarded 25 million dollars in funding through grants, contracts and gifts, and has mentored a new generation of Canadian child welfare scholars. Professor Trocm茅 has acted as a child welfare policy and program consultant to several provincial governments and First Nations organizations and has presented expert evidence at various inquests and tribunals. Prior to completing his PhD., Nico Trocm茅 worked for five years as a child welfare and children鈥檚 mental health social worker.

Nico Trocm茅 est professeur en service social 脿 l'universit茅 平特五不中 o霉 il d茅tient la chaire Philip Fisher en travail social et dirige le Centre de recherche sur l'enfance et la famille. Dr. Trocm茅 est le directeur de l'脡tude canadienne sur l'incidence (ECI) des signalements de cas de violence et de n茅gligence envers les enfants (1993, 1998, 2003 et 2008), le chercheur principal pour la Matrice d'indicateurs des r茅sultats en protection de l'enfance, et coordonne le Portail canadien de la recherche en protection de l鈥檈nfance (). Il m猫ne pr茅sentement un projet de d茅veloppement de capacit茅s de recherche et de mobilisation des connaissances au sein de Centres Jeunesse et d鈥檕rganismes autochtones au Qu茅bec, et dirige plusieurs recherches, dont des analyses secondaires des donn茅es ECI, l'茅valuation d'un programme de soutien pour des familles afro-canadiennes, et le d茅veloppement d鈥檌ndicateurs cliniques pour le Centre jeunesse et de la Famille Batshaw et l鈥橝ssociation des Centres jeunesse du Qu茅bec.听 Dr. Trocm茅 a 茅t茅 impliqu茅 dans le d茅veloppement et la revue de programmes et de politiques sur les services de protection de l鈥檈nfance au niveau des gouvernements provinciaux et organismes autochtones, et a intervenu 脿 titre de t茅moin expert dans le contexte d鈥檈nqu锚tes et de tribunaux. Avant de compl茅ter son doctorat, Dr. Trocm茅 a travaill茅 pendant cinq ans comme intervenant en protection et en sant茅 mentale de l'enfance.
