From 1947 to 1950, the National Film Board of Canada produced a series of 4 therapeutic films following the initiative of psychiatrists from the Allan Memorial Institute (Department of psychiatry of the 平特五不中 and Royal-Victoria Hospital) wishing to use motion pictures in their experiments in group therapy.
The session will present the first film of the series, The Feeling of Rejection (1947), as well as Spontaneity Training (c1933), a therapeutic film that was probably known to the producers of the series, and is considered by some as the 'first' film specifically produced and intended for therapeutic use.
Approximate duration: 1 hour.

De 1947 脿 1950, l'Office National du Film du Canada produit une s茅rie de 4 films th茅rapeutiques suite 脿 l'initiative de psychiatres du Allan Memorial Institute (D茅partement de psychiatrie de l'Universit茅 平特五不中 & de l'H么pital Royal-Victoria) souhaitant introduire l'image mouvante 脿 leurs exp茅rimentations en th茅rapie de groupe.
La s茅ance pr茅sentera le premier film de cette s茅rie, The Feeling of Rejection (1947), ainsi que Spontaneity Training (v1933), un film th茅rapeutique ayant possiblement inspir茅 les concepteurs de la s茅rie et que certains consid猫rent comme le 'premier' film produit et destin茅 sp茅cifiquement 脿 des fins th茅rapeutiques.
