Biography: 

Dr. Michael Shevell is an attending Pediatric Neurologist in the Division of Pediatric Neurology and a Professor (with tenure) in the Departments of Pediatrics & Neurology/Neurosurgery. From 2011-2021 Dr. Shevell was Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at 平特五不中 & Pediatrician-in-Chief of the Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital. He has conducted clinical research focusing on the causes, care and consequences of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and those biologically at risk for these disorders. Dr. Shevell has achieved high research productivity (h index 81, > 22000 citations, > 300 peer-reviewed papers, > 70 invited chapters/papers [October 2022]). Now in the twilight of his academic career, he is focusing his remaining efforts on analyses involving existing large clinically defined datasets (e.g., Canadian Cerebral Palsy Registry). Dr. Shevell restricts his supervision presently to Pediatric Neurology trainees and fellows and very select MDCM students.听
