fake news /oss/taxonomy/term/257/all en Belief in Conspiracy Theories Is Probably Not Getting Worse Over Time /oss/article/critical-thinking/belief-conspiracy-theories-probably-not-getting-worse-over-time
A question I am often asked by journalists is if more people believe in conspiracy theories now than before. Sometimes, the question is not even asked; the answer is simply inferred. Of course they are.

Even I often feel like it must be true. The COVID-19 pandemic has a twin, an infodemic, which often relies on grand conspiracy theories to be believable. We have all heard the stories that a shadowy “they” don’t want you to know that ivermectin is miraculous and that the vaccines, funded by Bill Gates, are full of tracking devices.
Thu, 28 Jul 2022 13:46:51 +0000 Jonathan Jarry M.Sc. 9194 at /oss (July 30, 2020) "COVID & More" with Carly Weeks /oss/article/covid-19-videos/july-30-2020-covid-more-carly-weeks

Thu, 30 Jul 2020 20:20:18 +0000 OSS 8348 at /oss The Right Chemistry: The Age of Fake /oss/article/videos-history/right-chemistry-age-fake

Video of Dr. Joe Schwarcz on the age of fake

Fri, 28 Feb 2020 17:10:01 +0000 Joe Schwarcz PhD 8161 at /oss Cracked Science 30: Do We Still Trust Scientific Experts? /oss/article/videos-general-science/cracked-science-30-do-we-still-trust-scientific-experts

<iframe class="media-youtube-player" id="media-youtube-xug3qfnvck8" width="640" height="390" title="Do We Still Trust Scientific Experts? Case in point is a widely circulating Internet article with the headline: “Miracle Facial Rejuvenation Cream Nets Biggest Deal in Shark Tank History. Is it Too Good To Be True? Cosmopolitan Magazine Will Investigate.”
Mon, 13 Mar 2017 15:18:07 +0000 Dr. Joe Schwarcz 1541 at /oss
