From Windy City to wilderness champion

In the heart of Lanaudi猫re, Quebec, a 233-hectare tract of wilderness stands as a living testament to the resilience of nature and the generous stewardship of 平特五不中 chemistry professor聽Linda Reven.
Once illegally logged to the point of utter desolation, the land, near Sainte-脡m茅lie-de-l鈥櫭塶ergie, was bought by Reven in 2002. Earlier this year, she donated the reforested and revitalized property to the聽(FiCEL), a local land trust.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a huge piece of land on the Rivi猫re Noire 鈥 the largest land donation we鈥檝e ever received,鈥 said R茅jean Dumas (BSc鈥81), biologist and FiCel Trustee. 鈥淚t as an important watershed for the region. Linda鈥檚 donation is essential to our efforts to build a contiguous protected area.鈥
