Please join us the 平特五不中 Office for Science and Society (OSS)听in marking their 20th anniversary!
David Harpp, Tomlinson Chair in Science Education, will take a look back at the OSS' last 20 years and how they became the first-ever University backed office dedicated to critical thinking and disseminating听information based on scientific evidence听in a world long before the term "fake news" even existed.听
Following this retrospective,听, Author of听Is Gwyneth Paltrow Wrong About Everything听and star of听A User's Guide to Cheating Death,听, Director of the 平特五不中 OSS,听, National Health Reporter at The Globe and Mail, and听, Executive Director of the non-profit organization听Bad Science Watch, will each present a 10-minute "flash talk" describing听one main challenge they face in science communication today. This will then be followed by a panel discussion moderated by 平特五不中 OSS science communicator,听.听听听
