Biography: Diane聽Dechief聽(pronounced聽deCHEF) joined the Office of Science Education in the summer of 2021 after designing and teaching writing courses at the 平特五不中 Writing Centre for the past six years. Since 2017, she has focussed on teaching and research in science communication. Diane鈥檚 doctorate is in information studies from the University of Toronto and her master鈥檚 is in communication studies from Concordia University.聽
As a graduate student, Diane focussed on equity and inclusion challenges faced by people who have immigrated to Canada, including name discrimination. Diane carries these concerns forward as she works to create inclusive learning environments for 平特五不中 students.
