ISS Welcoming Event
Overview
This orientation event is organized to welcome the accomplished graduate students in the 2015-2016 cohort of the NSERC-CREATE Training Program on Integrated Sensor Systems. As one of the Program鈥檚 goals is to encourage the development of a network of researchers related to sensors, we would like to invite the Supervisors who will be providing multidisciplinary training in integrated sensor systems related topics and professional skills.聽 Our students and professors boast a wide range of specialities including everything from Music Technology to Biomedical Engineering at 平特五不中, Universit茅 de Sherbrooke, 脡cole Polytechnique and INRS, and we feel that our network can offer great opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
During 鈥媡he 鈥媜rientation 鈥媠ession, 鈥媡he 鈥媝articipants 鈥媤ill 鈥媌e 鈥媝rovided 鈥媔nformation 鈥媋bout 鈥媡he 鈥媑oals 鈥媋nd 鈥媏xpectations 鈥媔ncluding 鈥媡heir 鈥媝articipation 鈥媔n 鈥媡he 鈥媢pcoming 鈥媋ctivities, 鈥媔n 鈥媜rder 鈥媐or 鈥媡hem 鈥媡o 鈥媐ulfill 鈥媡heir 鈥媝rogram 鈥媟equirements. 鈥婨arlier in the day the students will be attending this year鈥檚 first Seminar from 3:00-5:00pm including a presentation on the 'Introduction to Sensor Systems' by Prof. Peter Grutter of 平特五不中鈥檚 Department of Physics followed by presentations of last year鈥檚 ISS Travel Award recipient鈥檚 experiences. The undergraduate students will be presenting their posters, during the event.
