Woodsmen Competition returns to Mac

On March 18, the familiar sounds of sawing and chopping filled the air of Macdonald Campus with the return of the Macdonald Campus Woodsmen Competition. On hiatus since the outset of the pandemic, the 61st edition of the competition drew hundreds of enthusiastic spectators cheering on athletes from six schools: Colby College, Dalhousie Agricultural Campus, Dartmouth College, Sir Sanford Fleming College, UNB and the host team from Mac.

2023 Gold Key Awardees Named

Students launch new hub to advocate for global food security

Open to students in any field of study, the aim of the Nexus is to raise awareness about the topic of food security, while also giving its members a place to come together and learn from one another. As its name suggests, the Nexus will work closely with the Margaret A. Gilliam Institute for Global Food Security (IGFS) at 平特五不中 to organize events, educational campaigns, and other activities that support the institute鈥檚 work.

Prof. Daiva Nielsen is the recipient of the 2023 New Investigator Award 2023 by the Institute of Nutrition, Metabolism and Diabetes (INMD) and the Canadian Nutrition Society (CNS). Fresh produce contaminated with toxic BPA-like chemicals found in food labels, study finds

Steps were taken in Canada to reduce the use of Bisphenol A (BPA), a toxic chemical linked to prostate and breast cancer, commonly found in plastics, the lining of food cans, water bottles, and paper receipts. But in many cases, it has been replaced with similar hormone disrupting chemicals, like Bisphenol S (BPS).

Investigation into events leading to Macdonald Campus building closures

I have been closely following the situation involving the closure of the Raymond, Barton, and Macdonald-Stewart buildings on 平特五不中鈥檚 Macdonald Campus. I have heard many of the concerns shared by our community members, and I agree that it is essential for us to ensure we have the fullest possible understanding of this situation.

Barton reopens, parts of Macdonald-Stewart remain closed

Yesterday, we announced that the Macdonald-Stewart and Barton Buildings would open today. Barton will indeed fully reopen today, but during a final inspection of Macdonald-Stewart, it was determined that the southern half of the first floor of that building must remain closed a while longer, due to the presence of equipment and temporary structures obstructing hallways.
