Congratulations to the winners of the Lister Family Engaged Science 3-Minute Thesis庐 Competition - V茅ronique Boyer, Marcus Kaji, and Karolin Dietrich - pictured here with Dean Anja Geitmann and Geoffrey Kelley, MNA for Jacques-Cartier and Minister responsible for Native Affairs.
First place winner, Mark Kaji is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Parasitology. His presentation was entitled "Real life vampires and how to kill them"
Second-place winner and recipient of the People's Choice Award is Animal Science MSc candidate V茅ronique Boyer, whose presentation was entitled "Who wouldn鈥檛 want to chat with a cow? Asking dairy cows about targeted modifications to tie-stall or cubicle design to improve their welfare at the farm"
Third-place winner is Karolin Dietrich, a PhD candidate in Bioresource Engineering. Her presentation was entitled "Making bioplastics competitively"
Graduate students are challenged to present the complexities of their research in an engaging way in a form that can be understood by an intelligent audience with no background in the research area. Congratulations too to all the graduate students who participated in the competition!
Competitors听will now have the opportunity to participate in the听平特五不中 3MT Competition听in the Spring of 2018.听 Winners of the 平特五不中 competition will be selected to represent 平特五不中 at the听CAGS 3MT Eastern regional finals,听and听concours听ACFAS Ma the虁se en 180 secondes.听
