What is NACLO?
If you're interested in language and enjoy problem-solving, come participate in the听North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad.听听NACLO is a fun and educational contest 听for students in听grades 6-12听in which you will solve linguistics problems from a variety of languages (natural and artificial). 听No prior knowledge of linguistics or any particular language is required. 听All you need to bring is your curiosity and enthusiasm!
The first round of the contest will take place on Thursday, January 28, from 10am to 1pm at 平特五不中听(Sign in starting 9.15am; Room TBA). 听Students who perform well on the first round will be invited back for a second invitational round, to take place on March 10. 听The winners of the invitational round will be eligible to represent North America at the听International Olympiad.听More information about the Olympiad听can be found at听at the official听.

Registration
Registration Deadline: 听January 14th (registration is recommended by then, but possible after)
