Prof. Ram Jakhu reappointed to Space Council of World Economic Forum

We are pleased to announce that Professor Ram Jakhu, currently serving as Director of the Institute of Air and Space Law (IASL), has been reappointed, for a rare fourth consecutive term, to the of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

In his letter to Professor Jakhu, Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the WEF, expressed that Professor Jakhu's 鈥漧eadership would be instrumental in helping this council to develop pertinent insights and collaboratively shape solutions to improve the state of the world."

"I feel privileged to represent the IASL at the WEF'S Space Council," said Professor Jakhu, "and to bring the insights of the IASL's legal research on space issues to the table. It is an honour.鈥 聽

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is an interdisciplinary knowledge network dedicated to promoting innovative thinking on the future. The WEF's Councils form an invitation-only knowledge network that serves as a forward-looking brain trust to the WEF and the world at large. Each of the 35 councils comprises renowned experts from business, government, academia and civil society. The Global Agenda Council on Space aims to enhance initiatives targeted at addressing some of the most pressing global issues and dedicated to improving the state of the world by integration of space technology, innovation and services and governance, and provide recommendations for the sustainability of space.
