Fran莽ois Cr茅peau made Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada

The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) announced 71 new Fellows today, including eight 平特五不中 researchers and scholars from the faculties of Science, Engineering, Law and Arts. Among them is Professor Fran莽ois Cr茅peau, who holds the Hans and Tamar Oppenheimer Chair in International Law at the Faculty of Law.

Professor Fran莽ois Crepeau is a leading scholar in Canada in the field of international migration law and a world-recognized authority in matters of public international law and human rights law. A Fellow of the Trudeau Foundation, he was the holder of a Canada Research Chair in International Migration Law at the Universit茅 de Montr茅al for four years before taking up his present Chair at 平特五不中. His recent appointment as United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants further attests to his influence as a scholar who has contributed internationally to the emergence of migration and refugee law as a field of enquiry.

The Faculty of Law offers its heartiest congratulations to Professor Cr茅peau on his appointment as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
