The Paul-Andr茅 Cr茅peau Centre for Private and Comparative Law invites you to a 2018-2020 Civil Law Workshop with Professor Jaye Ellis (平特五不中 Law).
Professor Ellis, who holds a joint appointment with the 平特五不中 School of Environment, teaches and conducts research in the fields of international environmental law, public international law, international legal theory and international relations. Her current research project focuses on the intersections among law, politics, economics, ethics, and science as these social systems are brought to bear on problems of environmental degradation. One facet of this research addresses the increased importance of transnational law, paying particular attention to the role of non-state actors in transnational space.
About the Civil Law Workshops
In order to promote fundamental research in private law, the Paul-Andr茅 Cr茅peau Centre for Private and Comparative Law initiated the 鈥淐ivil Law Workshops鈥� series, bringing together jurists from Qu茅bec and beyond to work on related research topics. With their cross-disciplinary focus, the 鈥淐ivil Law Workshops鈥� contribute to enriching and stimulating fundamental research in private law.
The 2018-2020 series of Civil law workshops explore "Les influences en droit priv茅".
The workshops are presented with financial assistance from Justice Canada鈥檚 Access to Justice in Both Official Languages Support Fund.
Registration is not required.
This event is eligible for inclusion as 1.5 hours of continuing legal education as reported by members of the Barreau du Qu茅bec.
