Eating Popcorn like a Lawyer: Featuring Marc Lemieux
Organized in collaboration with the Sciences Po Law School, 鈥楨ating Popcorn like a Lawyer鈥� is a seminar series that seeks to establish a continuous dialogue between the fields of law and film. For each session we invite a prominent legal scholar to select, discuss and analyze a thought-provoking film.
Join us to discuss Steven Spielberg鈥檚 modern classic (2002) with banking and payment law expert, lecturer and avid moviegoer (Lemieux Law Firm & 平特五不中 Faculty of Law). Together we will shine critical light on the romantic depiction of bank account fraud and law enforcement. The film鈥檚 focus on a rich victim (Pan Am) obfuscates the pain and shame that criminals, cold-hearted 鈥渃ustomer care鈥� employees and unfit police officers inflict on real victims on a daily basis all around the world.
