Join the Runnymede Society for a debate on matters and controversies relating to administrative law. Alternatively, if the Supreme Court has released their Vavilov decision before then, the guests will debate on the outcome of that case instead.

Speakers

Leonid Sirota, BCL/LLB'09, also holds a degree from NYU School of Law. He currently teaches at AUT Law School. His research and teaching focus on constitutional law and theory and related areas, such the law of democracy and the judicial power.

Paul Daly, University Research Chair in Administrative Law & Governance at the University of Ottawa (Faculty of Law, Common Law Section), is also a part-time member (Review Officer) of the Environmental Protection Tribunal of Canada.

Alexander Pless, BCL'98, LLB'98, (moderator), who lectures at the Faculty, has more than 17 years of experience with the Ministry of Justice of Canada. He had pleaded multiple cases before the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada.

This event is eligible for inclusion as 1.5 hours of continuing legal education as reported by members of the Barreau du Qu茅bec.
