The Centre聽 for Human rights and Legal Pluralism and the Annie MacDonald Langstaff Lecture Series welcome Marie Mercat-Bruns.听

About the speaker

Marie Mercat-Bruns is a tenured Associate Law Professor at the Labor and Employment Law Chair of the Conservatoire National des Arts et M茅tiers (CNAM) where she is a member of the Research Institute LISE CNRS (Group, Relational Theories on Gender).

She is also a member of the scientific committee of Presage (Sciences Po/OFCE Research and Academic Program on Gender Thinking).

Outside of her coursework at the CNAM, she teaches at Sciences Po: "Diversity and affirmative action", "Concept and Practice of Diversity", "Gender law and queer theory", and "Comparative law on Persons and Personhood."

About the Annie MacDonald Langstaff Workshops

Inaugurated in 1988 in honour of Annie MacDonald Langstaff, BCL '14, the first woman to earn a law degree in Quebec, the workshops provide a forum for academics, judges, lawyers, and community activists to present scholarly research and practical insights on issues relating to women and the law.
