How to Respond to Disclosures Workshop

As part of the , join us for this 2-hour interactive workshop where participants learn about the various impacts that sexual violence can have on individuals and about the key components to providing trauma-informed support to someone who discloses. By using appropriate tools and approaches, participants are empowered to apply this new learning to group activities and case scenarios. The workshop will also explore key terms and discuss commonly held misconceptions about sexual violence that may affect one's ability to effectively respond to and support disclosures. In addition, participants will become familiar with the many different support resources available on and off campus that are available in the community.

Students who complete the workshop will receive credits on their co-curricular record. **Snacks will be provided.

Accessibility:
The Brown Student Services building is accessible by wheelchair. There is an elevator at the basement level all the way to the 5th floor. There are gender-neutral bathrooms on the 2nd floor next to #2003; 3rd floor between #3004 & #3110; and on the 5th floor next to #5100.
This event is scent-reduced to minimize risk for people with environmental sensitivities, allergies and asthma. Please refrain from wearing perfumed products both before and to the event.
