CHARCOT-​MARIE-​TOOTH DIS­EASE: A group of genetic dis­or­ders that affects move­ment and sen­sa­tion in the limbs. The dis­ease pro­gresses slowly and causes dam­age to the nerves that con­trol mus­cles.
