The SSHRC funded series "Climate Change: Institutionality, Equity, and Activism Now", the department of English and the Institute for Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies, 平特五不中, present: Professor Christina Sharpe (York University): Talk & Seminar

Christina Sharpe is Professor of Humanities at York University and Distinguished Visiting Professor at Ryerson University. She is the author of two books: Monstrous Intimacies: Making Post-Slavery Subjects (2010) and In the Wake: On Blackness and Being (2016) both published by Duke University Press. She is currently working on a monograph called Black. Still. Life.

Her talk, entitled "Ordinary Notes" will be taking place on January 13th, at Leacock 232 from 5:30-7:30pm. This talk is free and open to the public; seating is on a first come first served basis.

The seminar will also be held on January 13th, from 12pm-2pm at Wendy Patrick Hall (WILSON 118). You must be registered to attend as spaces are limited. Please email climatechangeseries [at] gmail.com to register for the seminar now.

This talk takes place in Leacock Building; all entrances are wheelchair accessible, all levels can be reached by elevator, accessible washrooms are located in the 1st basement and 5th floor. The seminar will take place in Wilson Hall; wheelchair access is via the west campus entrance, all levels are accessible by elevator, accessible washrooms are located on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th floors.
