"Angry Queer Somali Boy: In Conversation with Mohamed Abdulkarim Ali," hosted by the GSFS Student Association (GSFSSA)
Join us for a conversation with author Mohamed Abdulkarim Ali about his new memoir ANGRY QUEER SOMALI BOY: A COMPLICATED MEMOIR on Thursday, March 19, 7 PM - 9 PM. A book signing will take place from 8:30 PM - 9 PM.
ANGRY QUEER SOMALI BOY: A COMPLICATED MEMOIR details the journey of Mohamed Ali from his early life in Somalia, his childhood in the Netherlands, and his later immigration to Canada. Writing from a homeless shelter in Toronto, Mohamed Ali masterfully interweaves personal and political narratives to provide a powerful testimonial on racism, placelessness and identity in our contemporary world.
