Program Description

The Graduate Diploma (Gr. Dip.) in Performance offered by the Schulich School of Music is a course-based program that emphasizes stimulating and dynamic learning opportunities. Our comprehensive and innovative program offers a specialized and practical curriculum designed to equip students with advanced skills in performance.

Unique Program Features

  • The program is designed for excellent musicians to refine their technique and master repertoire through intensive coaching, practice, and performance projects.
  • Flexible program requirements prepares musicians for professional careers as soloist, opera singers, collaborative pianists, chamber, jazz and orchestral musicians or for further graduate studies in performance;
  • The School houses several performance spaces, research & production laboratories, and two libraries with a vast collection of music resources. It is also home to the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology (CIRMMT), an inter-institutional research centre containing six dedicated research labs and work spaces;
  • Prospective students are encouraged to connect with student ambassadors before applying.

University-Level Admission Requirements

  • An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
  • English-language proficiency
