German (M.A.)

Program Description

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in German (Non-Thesis) offered by the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures in the Faculty of Arts is a course-based program that emphasizes rigorous and specialized learning opportunities. The program's objective is to equip students with skills in literature review, critical thinking, and information synthesis to pursue professional opportunities (or potentially continue their studies).

  • Students may specialize in literature, intellectual history, film, media, and/or digital humanities;

  • Upon graduation many students are trilingual or even quadrilingual and go on to pursue careers in various cultural and economic branches in Europe.

  • An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
  • English-language proficiency
