Communication Sciences and Disorders (M.Sc.)

Program Description

The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Communication Sciences and Disorders (Thesis) offered by the School of Communication Sciences & Disorders in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences is a research-intensive program that emphasizes advanced and comprehensive learning opportunities. The program's objective is to equip students with skills in skill enhancing, experimental design, and academic writing to either continue their studies or pursue professional opportunities.

Unique Program Features

  • The program comprises small class size to ensure that all learners benefit from individualized attention and strong mentorship;
  • Funding is available for graduate students;
  • The School has ongoing collaborations with various 平特五不中 units such as the Departments of Psychology, Linguistics, Education, Biomedical Engineering, Neurology and Neurosurgery, and Otolaryngology/Head and Neck surgery. Additionally, Faculty members have strong links to Montreal-area research networks, such as the Centre for Research on Brain, Language, and Music and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation of Greater Montreal;
  • The School was one of the first university departments in Canada to offer graduate training in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

University-Level Admission Requirements

  • An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
  • English-language proficiency
