The Mia and David Goodman Family Cancer Research Scholarship

This award supports travel for a limited number of graduate students and/or post–doctoral trainees as part of the existing collaborative partnership between the Goodman Cancer Research Centre in Canada and the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel.

Trainees’ travel will be to and from either research institution for a period of 1-2 months.

For cancer research related projects only.

Open Open to all graduate students and post-doctoral trainees involved in a collaborative research project betweenÌýfull membersÌýof GCRC and WIS. Approx. $7,500 (to cover the cost of travel, accommodation and meals).

Step 1 : Prepare an Application File

The listed documents must be submitted through the online application form, in the following sequence, in a single PDF file.

Name your file: LastName FirstName AwardName YEAR

(1) Letter of request (signed by trainee) which includes the reasons for travel, how it fits with trainee’s career goals, and how will this visit accelerate the advancement of cancer research project.
(2) Project title, abstract, and anticipated deliverables.
(3) A letter of invitation from the host institution that includes a statement of assistance in preparatory paper work and securing accommodation for the duration of the visit.
(4) A letter of support from your current supervisor (approx. 250 words).
(5) Most recent CV.
