Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Institute Research Day

The Goodman Cancer Student Society is pleased to announce the return of the annual Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Institute (GCI) Research Day on December 7th, 2023. Research day is an in-person, day-long event filled with short talks, poster presentations, and 3-minute theses presentations followed by a keynote lecture and a Wine & Cheese. We are excited to host Dr. Tannishtha Reya (Professor, Physiology and Cellular Biophysics, Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, Columbia University) to deliver the keynote lecture. Visit her to learn more about her team and their recent publications on stem cells and cancer.

This event will provide trainees with an opportunity to showcase and discuss their scientific work within a network of cancer researchers, foster collaborations, and explore current advances in cancer research. GCI members as well any 平特五不中 trainees researching cancer who are interested in participating can register using this by November 10, 2023 at 11:59PM.

All GCI researchers can register as a general participants, and trainees will also have the option to apply to be considered for a poster presentation, short talk, or 3-minute thesis presentation. Trainees interested in presenting should include their author list, affiliations and abstract in the designated spaces. Abstracts should not exceed 2000 characters in length. Short talks will consist of a 10-minute presentation and a 5-minute question period (1st place winner will be awarded $300). 3-minute theses will consist of a 3-minute presentation on a static slide followed by a one-minute question period (1st place winner will be awarded $200). There will be 2 poster sessions (4 winners, 2 junior and 2 senior graduate students, will be awarded $125 each). Further instructions will be sent out following the acceptance of abstracts.
