Biography: 

Dr. Sewitch received her MSc and PhD from the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at 平特五不中. After completing post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Montreal and 平特五不中, she joined the Division of Gastroenterology at the 平特五不中 Health Centre and the Division of Clinical Epidemiology at the Research Institute of the 平特五不中 Health Centre. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and presented her research at over 170 scientific conferences. She has received 32 operating grants as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator, as well as career awards from the Canadian Cancer Society (2005-2011) and the Fonds de la Recherche en Sant茅 du Qu茅bec (2005-2009; 2011-2013). Dr. Sewitch has been a Visiting Scholar at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia (2015-2016) and at the Tianjin Nankai Hospital in Tianjin, China (2016). Dr Sewitch was the recipient of the 2017 Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award from the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health Student Society.

Dr. Sewitch is Lead of the Quality Innovation Committee of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology. She is a member of the Women's Mentorship Program of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology, and sits on the Executive Committee at the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation. Dr. Sewitch is a peer-review committee member for both the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Cancer Research Society.
