Faculty Matters: Summer Discussion Series

Many of you have already participated inÌý‘Faculty Helping Faculty’, the Faculty of Medicine weekly peer-support sessions. These informal drop-in sessions offer academic and clinical staff the opportunity to exchange ideas, brainstorm solutions and provide mutual support in these challenging days. If you haven’t already participated, you can join us every Wednesday from 3.30-4.30pm by clickingÌýhere.ÌýFor those unable to join these meetings, key take-home points are postedÌýhere.

Alongside the Faculty-Helping-Faculty initiative, a new University-wide discussion series,Ìý‘Faculty Matters’Ìýbegins tomorrow,ÌýTuesday May 19. This series will include 10 sessions throughout this spring and summer,Ìýon Tuesdays from 12-1pm. Each session will be led by colleagues across our campuses – you’ll see folks from your respective Faculties in our great lineup of speakers. The take-up among faculty so far has been extremely positive and enthusiastic, which is great. Please shareÌýthe Faculty Matters programÌý(which includes registration links) among your respective academic colleagues. All academic staff (tenure-track, tenured, CAS)ÌýareÌýwarmly welcome!

These are challenging times for all of us. If you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed due to current circumstances, please talk to someone about it. If you feel that you or someone close to you is in imminent danger or acute distress please callÌý9-1-1.ÌýSome links to resources for psychological support are provided below:
